History and application:
20th century
First made as blue, a synthetic replacement for Lapis lazuli. Thereafter, scientists developed special ultramarines in a range of colours.
Can be used with all binders. Very light fast. Good coverage. Mixes well. Heat and weather resistant characteristics.
