ACCESSIBILITY AND PARKING
By car
From Amsterdam A8 towards Zaanstad / Purmerend, exit Purmerend A7. Then follow the signs for Zaanse Schans. From Alkmaar towards Wormerveer / Zaandam . Then follow the signs for Zaanse Schans.
Parking
The Zaanse Schans has its own parking lot. Parking fees are used for maintenance and management of the historic buildings in Zaanse Schans.
By train (see also the Public Transport Route Planner )
From Amsterdam CS with the sprinter in the direction of Uitgeest or Alkmaar, get off at Koog-Zaandijk station. Travel time is approximately 20 minutes. You then walk to the Zaanse Schans.
By bus (see also the Public Transport Route Planner )
A Connexxion bus (line 391) leaves every half hour from Amsterdam CS station to Zaanse Schans. The bus runs via Zaandam Kogerveld railway station.
A bus (line 89) leaves every half hour from Zaandam station to Zaanse Schans. The bus stops at windmill 'De Bleeke Dood'. You then walk to the Zaanse Schans.
