C.I. Pigment Red 101

History and application:
19th century An artificial mineral pigment. Named after the vessel in which the pigment was made, which looks like a skull.
Can be used with all binders. Dries reasonably well, does not fade and withstands heat.
Good colour intensity, good coverage.
